Review: Safe In Sound - Lower Than Atlantis

On the 3rd February, Watford rock band Lower Than Atlantis dropped their fifth studio album "Safe In Sound". The response from fans and new listeners has been enormous and the album has rocketed to number 4 on the midweek album chart.
The album kicks off with the energetic and charismatic "Had Enough". This combination of a catchy drum beat and awesome guitar riff provides a track you can't help but tap your feet to.

The following tracks are a mixture of rough around the edges pop sounding tracks such as "Boomerang" and "Money"  along with experimental anthems such as "Could Be Worse". One song that particularly stands out from the rest is the gorgeous slow song that is "I Don't Want To Be Here Anymore". The personal lyrics and powerful meaning give it the raw emotion that makes it such a beautiful song.

Overall this album has surpassed my expectations and has shown how diverse and talented Lower Than Atlantis are. I would give this album a solid 9/10.

You can catch them on tour in the UK and Europe with Young Guns this March!
